Health

The manufacturing process of our products has to be in compliance with strict food safety regulations. Safe and legal production and delivery are ensured by the HACCP System. Our company, however, goes beyond the obsolete approach which only aspires to keep to the rules.

Our goal is to create such bakery products that not only give the consumer a special culinary experience, but ones that also contribute to one’s health. Manufacturing healthy bakery products starts with choosing the appropriate ingredients. We use preservative, colourant and trans fatty acid free margarine, and solely natural colourant in the course of our production.

Dietary Fibres

Although fibres have almost no nutritional value, they are important for maintaining one’s health.

The Role of Minerals and Vitamins

These are chemical substances that are necessary for the normal vital processes. Deficiency can be avoided by a regular and varied diet. Eating vegetables, cereals, fruits, liver and different kinds of meat can fulfil the body’s vitamin and mineral needs. When lack of appetite or vomitting occurs, not only reinforcement of vitamins and minerals, but also that of nutrients is needed.

The Role of Proteins

Animal proteins - the so-called whole proteins - are the following: meats, meat products, fish, dairy products, and egg. It is advisable to cover 50% one’s protein needs with these, since they contain components essential for the body system. Vegetable protein sources include flour, rice, legumes, soya, and oil seeds.
Energy Content: The energy content of protein is 18kJ per gram.

The Role of Carbohydrates

(sugars, starches) Foods can be divided into three groups based on the extent to which they increase blood-sugar level. Vegetables and vegetable dishes can be consumed without any restrictions. Flour and products made by using flour (bakery products, pasta products), rice, soya flour and goods produced by using them, potato, corn, sugar pea, pumpkin, dry beans, lentil, milk, yogurt, fresh fruits and fruit juices should be consumed moderately. Products containing beet sugar (granulated sugar, powdered sugar), malt sugar, honey, and soft drinks, cookies and foods containing any of these should be avoided.
Energy Content: The energy content of carbohydrate is 17,2kJ per gram.

The Role of Fats

Fats can be divided into two categories: vegetable or animal fats. Ideally, the food we consume should contain equal amounts of them. As the meat and dairy products we consume contain substantial quantities of animal fat, one should use vegetable oil when preparing the given dish. It is always good to use processes that require small amounts of fat (cooking, using a pressure cooker, steaming, grilling, cooking in foil packets).
Energy Content: The energy content of fat is 38,9kJ per gram.
